RESILIENT VINYL FLOORING

RESILIENT

Resilient flooring has been around for a long time. The oldest type of resilient, linoleum, has been in existence for over 150 years! If you haven’t seen the new styles and colors in resilient then you may be in for a surprise!

Resilient is the name given to products like linoleum, vinyl, rubber and similar products because of the flooring’s solid nature and its ability to flex or “give” a little when walked on. What we used to call sheet vinyl now comes in interesting designs and 12-foot widths which eliminates the seams.

Resilient can now deliver the look of upscale ceramic, wood and intricate designs in stone and marble. You can get a full range of finishes and looks which are embossed and printed with such precision that they look and feel like the materials whose images they portray!

For protection, resilients are being made with urethane including aluminum oxide particles which are the same tough topcoat used in wearlayers for woods and laminate in recent years. This makes these new resilient floors easy to clean up and resist scratching.
