Resilient Care

Use protective mats

Good quality entry and exit mats will help protect your resilient flooring from premature wear. They trap the dirt, sand, grit, and other substances such as oil, asphalt, or driveway sealer that would otherwise be tracked onto your floor.  Use mats without latex or rubber backings to avoid possible discoloration.

Add protective pads to furniture

In order to prevent indentations and scratches, provide glass, plastic or other non-staining cups that are flat on the bottom and no less than 2" in width for the legs of heavy furniture or appliances.

Equip swivel-type office chairs and other rolling furniture with broad non-staining casters at least 2" in diameter.

Use non-abrasive cleaners only

We recommend Shawfloors Hard Surface cleaner with R2X to keep your reslilient floors looking their best.

Do not use vinegar as a cleaning agent on Shaw Array products.
